From My Farm to Your Family

Real Food for Real Life

Does getting a healthy meal on the table feel impossible between carpools, pickups, and that never-ending to-do list?

You want to feed your family better—real, nutrient-dense food you can trust—but sourcing it (let alone cooking it) feels like just one more thing.

A Farm Rooted in Purpose

Lord-Cranmer Farm grew out of a simple belief: healthy communities begin with healthy food, healthy land, and meaningful connections between neighbors.

My path to farming was not a straight one. For nearly a decade and a half, I worked in hospitality, managing restaurants, serving guests, and building experiences around food. Behind the scenes, however, I was struggling with addiction and searching for a different way of life. When I got sober, I began rebuilding from the ground up.

With the encouragement of my grandmother and a desire to create something lasting, I traded dining rooms for pastures and started raising animals the way I believe they should be raised: outdoors, on grass, with room to express their natural behaviors. What began as a small flock has grown into a regenerative farm focused on producing exceptional food while improving the land beneath our feet.

Today, Lord-Cranmer Farm raises pasture-raised chickens, ducks, eggs, heritage turkeys, and seasonal pork. Through rotational grazing, careful stewardship, and a commitment to transparency, every decision is made with the health of the animals, the soil, and our community in mind.

Our farm offers:

• Pasture-raised chicken and duck, available whole and cut-up
• Fresh eggs from hens raised on pasture
• Heritage turkeys for holiday tables
• Seasonal pork from pasture-raised pigs
• U-pick blueberries and seasonal farm experiences
• Home delivery, farm pickup, and direct connections to the people growing your food

But Lord-Cranmer Farm is about more than food.

It is about rebuilding soil that was once neglected. It is about supporting local businesses and strengthening the local food system. It is about creating a place where neighbors can gather, learn, and reconnect with where their food comes from.

Every bird moved to fresh pasture, every egg collected, and every order delivered is part of a larger mission: to leave this land better than I found it and to help make local, responsibly raised food accessible to the community I call home.

Whether you visit us at the farm stand, see us at a farmers market, join us for a farm dinner, or place an order online, thank you for supporting this work. I am grateful to be your farmer and honored to share what we grow with you.

About David

Hi, I'm David.

I believe good food has the power to bring people together, strengthen communities, and reconnect us with the land that sustains us. That's the work I wake up every day excited to do here at Lord-Cranmer Farm.

My path to farming was anything but traditional.

I grew up in the suburbs of San Francisco, but some of my happiest childhood memories were spent collecting eggs from the chicken coop and wandering the fields of my family's Christmas tree farm. Even then, I felt a connection to the land and to the people who grow food.

That connection eventually led me into hospitality. I attended hotel school in Switzerland, worked in fine dining restaurants in Shanghai, trained in culinary arts in Chicago, and spent years managing restaurants, cideries, and hospitality programs across California and Oregon. Throughout those years, I learned that food is about much more than what is on the plate. Food creates connection. It tells stories. It builds community.

At the same time, I was fighting a battle with addiction.

In 2020, I got sober and began rebuilding my life. With the final gift and blessing of my grandmother, I was able to purchase a home in Newberg and start over. What began as a search for healing became a calling. I found myself drawn back to the land, working on farm and hospitality projects that helped me reconnect with nature, purpose, and community.

Lord-Cranmer Farm started with just a handful of birds and a simple desire to grow food the right way. There were setbacks, including a devastating coop fire that destroyed my first flock. But each challenge reinforced what I already knew: this was the work I was meant to do.

Today, Lord-Cranmer Farm is a growing regenerative farm in the Hopewell community of Oregon's Willamette Valley. We raise pasture-raised poultry, eggs, seasonal pork, and blueberries while using rotational grazing and regenerative practices designed to improve the health of our soil, animals, and ecosystem.

Lord-Cranmer Farm isn’t just about food—It is about stewardship. It is about creating a stronger local food system. It is about helping families know their farmer and understand where their food comes from. It is about gathering neighbors around the table and celebrating the abundance of the valley we call home.

Most importantly, this farm is proof that second chances can grow into something beautiful.

Whether you're picking up eggs from the farm stand, ordering chicken for your family's dinner table, joining us at a farmers market, or attending a Rooted in the Valley dinner, thank you for being part of this journey.

I'm honored to be your farmer.

Welcome to Lord-Cranmer Farm.
